Mr Munro sought the disqualification of horse 4, MATAI JETSTAR, placed 4th by the judge as it galloped in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres.

Mr McIntyre demonstrated on the videos that MATAI JETSTAR galloped for over 50 metres in the home straight.
Mr Milne did not contest the protest.
Reasons for Decision:
After viewing the videos, the Committee is satisfied that MATAI JETSTAR was not in its proper gait for a distance in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres. MATAI JETSTAR was free of interference at the time. The Breaking Horse Regulations are clear in that the horse is deemed to be in breach of r 870(3) in that it has failed to promptly regain its proper gait.
