Stipendiary Steward Mr J Muirhead lodged an information alleging that Driver Mrs L Neal failed to maintain barrier position one on the second line behind the mobile gate at the start of Race one with Beyond The Silence.
Mrs Neal appeared for the hearing and admitted the breach.
Mr Muirhead referred to video footage of the race start and identified Mrs Neal driving Beyond The Silence. At the point of starting the race Mrs Neal was approximately two lengths behind the field.
Mrs Neal concurred with the Steward's assessment of the event.

Mr Muirhead told the committee that Mrs Neal had been straightforward and cooperative with the enquiry. She had no previous recorded breaches and he assessed the breach as mid range. The penalty starting point was a five drive suspension or a $250 fine. He sought a fine of $250.
