Mr Ydgren had Mr Allison, stipendiary steward, demonstrate on the video that WHENDABOYSLITEUP broke for some 50 to 60 metres just before the 200 metre mark. The horse briefly returned to a trot and then galloped for a further 40 metres.
Mr Murphy stated he did not contest the protest.
Reasons for Decision:
In exercising our discretion under r 1003(2) to disqualify WHENDABOYSLITEUP we are satisfied that the horse broke for over 80 metres in the final 200 metres.
