Mr Allison demonstrated on the videos that IRISH WHISPER broke shortly after passing the 100 metre mark and continued in a break to the winning post.
Mr Williamson did not disagree with Mr Allison.
Reasons for Decision:
In determining to disqualify IRISH WHISPER we are satisfied that the horse galloped for some 80 metres over the final 200 metres and was therefore in breach of the breaking horse regulations and R 870(3) in that it failed to promptly regain its correct gait.
