Facts:
An information instigating a protest was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr Taumanu following the running of race 1. The protest was made on behalf of the connections of Horse 15 SUSIE DARLIN placed 11th by the Judge against Horse 8 placed 4th by the judge because of interference caused with three hundred metres to run.
The judge's placings were

5th 13 Libbiemack
6th 9 Macy Victory
The driver of Tiger Su Mr Stormont appeared for the connections and endorsed the information signifying that he did not contest the protest
Assistant Stipendiary Steward Mr S Wallis referred to the relevant camera footage and identified the respective runners. Near the 300 metre mark Tiger Su ducked out from the running line into the path of Mr Butcher on Susie Darlin pushing him onto Mr Mangos on Make Some Magic which in turn checked Mr Brosnan on Rocket Venus which was pulled up out of the race.

The Stipendiary Stewards sought the disqualification of Tiger Su. No blame could be attributed to Mr Stormont as the horse had ducked out when the earplugs had been pulled. He had immediately brought the horse back into line but the interference had already been caused.
Mr Stormont representing the connections did not contest the protest.
Reasons for Decision:
The committee was satisfied that interference was caused by Tiger Su after the earplugs were pulled and this reaction was not the fault of the driver. The three horses affected were unplaced as result.
